When Many Young Guys Who Work In Construction Manifest Abusive Drinking And Require Alcohol Detox And Alcohol Rehabilitation

by vic on June 4, 2010

I work with a lot of young men who work in construction who display a drinking problem. After a hard day at work, it seems to make a lot of sense to go to the local watering hole to have a few brews with one’s drinking pals. Usually, however, it seems that the well-intentioned few beers becomes a situation in which a lot of shots and beers are ingested, a lot of cash is spent, and quite a few hours are spent at the local saloon instead of spending time with their wife or girlfriend, family, or with their friends.

Careless and Abusive Drinking Can Result in Friendship, Relationship, and Marital Issues

Is it actually all that astounding in these situations that many these hard working men go through alcohol related financial difficulties even though they make a decent amount of money? How difficult can it be for these construction workers to realize that abusive drinking usually leads to marital, relationship, and friendship difficulties? Why are these alcoholism and alcohol abuse signs so difficult for my hard working pals to see?

Hazardous and Careless Drinking Can Result in DUIs, Problems at Work, Numerous Health Problems, and Different Mental Health Issues Such as Depression

Should it truly be shocking to anyone that my hard working pals could receive a DUI virtually any day or night of the week? Is anyone genuinely bowled over when my hard working pals begin to show up tardy for work because of their hazardous and abusive drinking?

Does it actually astonish anyone to know that my hard working pals eventually complain about alcohol-related health problems such as hangovers, alcohol poisoning, a loss of energy, and sleep disturbances? Is it actually unpredictable that many of my hard working pals are starting to have a variety of mental health issues such as depression? Why can’t these hard working guys “see” these alcohol abuse effects?

To a relatively great extent, my hard working friends have gotten into a dysfunctional predicament that is leading them to a life of alcohol abuse or alcohol dependency. My desire is that my hard working buddies will finally comprehend the fact that irresponsible and hazardous drinking is the enemy and that they need to talk to their family doctor or somebody at the local alcohol rehab facility about their problem drinking.

Concerning the drinking difficulties exhibited by my hard working pals, in the final analysis, what is actually required is honesty. Indeed, these construction workers, not that much different than others who engage in heavy and hazardous drinking, need to look at their behavior and make an honest evaluation of what heavy and abusive drinking is doing to their finances, to their relationships, to their mental health, to their jobs, and to their health. In a word, my hard working buddies need to comprehend the alcohol side effects of their irresponsible and heavy drinking.

There’s Room For Optimism If Those Who Engage in Unhealthy Drinking Can Become Encouraged to Get the Alcohol Rehabilitation and Alcohol Detox They Require

My hard working pals need to get enthused and motivated about wanting to make a healthy change in their lives. Stated differently, my hard working friends need to motivate themselves to go to their doctor or to the local alcohol treatment center and determine whether or not they are basically abusing alcohol or if they are addicted to alcohol. Based on the information that is exposed, my hard working buddies then need to get the alcohol treatment and the alcohol detox treatment they need.

The fortunate news is that there’s a wide variety of treatment centers, rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, rehab programs, and drug and alcohol treatment clinics where these hard working men can get quality rehab for their excessive and heavy drinking. And with some exertion, it is feasible to find hospitals, rehab programs, rehabilitation facilities, drug and alcohol treatment clinics, and treatment centers that are cost effective.

First-Rate Alcohol Abuse or Alcohol Dependency Help Can Begin With a Single Phone Call

There were evidently times in the past when top-of-the-line help for alcoholism or alcohol abuse was far less available and more expensive that it is now. Due to the tremendous increase of alcohol addiction and alcohol abuse in the past ten or fifteen years, it can be noted, an alcohol abuser or alcohol dependent individual frequently has few, if any, legitimate excuses for failing to come to terms with her or his abusive and irresponsible drinking.

In fact, to begin the change process all it frequently takes is a phone call to one’s healthcare practitioner or to someone at the local alcohol treatment center. From that point forward, lasting sobriety necessitates commitment, follow through, and a sincere desire to change one’s injurious style of life.
