Sometimes eye makeup tips feel like prep work for glamour shots. Yes, I know, it’s hard to imagine. How on earth could you be too glamorous? But sometimes with eye makeup, less is more. You do not have the option of wearing that masterful smoky eye club look you perfected to work. Anyway, you probably shouldn’t.
Of course this does not mean that your eye makeup has to be boring. You can get a lot of the same looks for less makeup and make them appropriate for every day. These looks can save you a lot of time. This look took over 5 minutes off my eye makeup application time.
Generally people use eye makeup to accentuate their eyes. Making your eyes bigger is the best way to do this with everyday makeup. If you do not want “made up” eyes then this eye makeup tip will help you.
You will need a golden toned eye shadow and a darker tone like brown or bronze. These colors should be picked to complement your skin tones. They can be reflective if you like but should not have large particles of glitter. This look is perfect for products like Loreal’s “Wear Infinite” Holographic line.
1. Put the light eye shadow on up to your brow. This will create a smooth skin tone with a bright eye area.
2. Make a smudgy line using the darker eye shadow in the crease of your eye. You are drawing a thick semi-circle over your eye. This darker shade will make your eyes look wider and brighter when your eyes are open.
That is it – you’re all done. Enjoy your bright-eyed new look. You can also dress this look up by using a purple shade for the semi circle and white, silver or pink for the background. You can also try darker and different tones on the lid. If you want to make this look pop for evening, then try a bright eye liner or thin line of eye shadow along the very top of the lid. Use these eye makeup tips for bright, huge eyes.
